Tonight the house felt unnaturally cold and dark. Ever since the sun set there was some oppressive feeling lurking down the corridors. It got thicker and thicker with every hour. You couldn’t bear with it any longer. You desperately tried to find something to keep you occupied so time could pass by faster. However your thoughts kept on rushing back to the cause of your worries over and over again.
The old grandfather clock in his study struck 11 PM. The sound echoed trough the empty office causing a shiver to run down your spine. You desperately tossed and turned in your bed, trying to find a little bit of comfort but without his warm, protective arm around you it was nearly impossible. You were dead tired at this point, but the scary thoughts that had infested your mind kept you awake. You quietly slipped out of bed and headed towards the living room.
The wind outside was howling ghostly behind the windows. The weather forecast this evening warned you for the terrible windstorm that was about to occur. You wrapped your arms around your chilled form. The dull silence was bothering you so much.
Slowly you reached the sofa in the living room and sat on it. Your gaze fell on the coffee table in front of you. His half-drank tea was sitting stationarily next to the open morning newspaper. The liquid had gone clod minutes after he left for work this morning. You remembered the moment you brought him this tea with a single teaspoon of sugar, the way he had been drinking it for the past four years. His eyes were hurriedly scanning the newspaper as he waited for the grandfather clock to hit eight o’clock.
You were so lost in the trail of memories you nearly screamed when you heard the lock turn a few minutes after the clock struck midnight. Your hopeful eyes stuck to the door, expecting to see the familiar grey eyes.
Levi entered trough the front door, obviously trying to be as quiet as possible. You silently watched him as he shook off his coat and took off his shoes. You got up from your seat and slowly walked over to him. Levi jumped slightly when he turned around and saw you.
“Why are you awake?” He whispered softly and pressed a chaste kiss on your forehead.
You tried to kiss him on the lips, but he quickly turned down the corridor, headed to his office. You frowned and followed him slowly.
“Levi…” You tried to catch his attention.
He had already laid a bunch of documents on his desk and was now quickly signing and writing various papers. You leaned on the doorframe and gazed at his face. His skin seemed paler than usual and there were dark circles under his eyes. He looked ten years older than he actually was. The lack of sleep lately was taking its toll on him.
You walked over to him and propped yourself on his desk. On a closer look you noticed his eyes had become duller. You laid your hand on his head, making him twitch unconsciously.
“Levi, stop it already. You need rest.”
He took your hand and kissed your knuckles “Don’t worry about me, just go to bed.”
“Levi, you’re a workaholic.”
He laughed grimly and put his pen down.
“Maybe I am, but I’m only doing this because I don’t want to spent the weekend doing paperwork.” He wrapped his arms around your waist and pulled you closer “I want to be with you.” His voice was muffled by your stomach as he buried his face in your torso.
“Levi, I don’t mind you working on weekends, but it really worries me when you come home from work in the middle of the night. I’m afraid. The empty house is driving me insane.”
His grip around you tightened. “Sorry.”
You smiled gently. When he was tired or guilty Levi really resembled a child. You stroked his hair affectionately.
“I’ll forgive you if you come to bed with me immediately.”
“But…”
“I wasn’t asking. You are not a machine and you need rest so shut up and let’s go to bed.”

The constant scratching sound of pencil-on-paper irked you to your last nerve. You would’ve punched whoever held the wooden tool if it wasn’t yourself. Was it possible to punch yourself and not feel anything? Maybe you should try… No wait, stay on task.
Why was college not like they said it would be in the movies? With parties and friends and clubs and freedom. What a lie. Your desk was overflowing with papers and notebooks, scattered papers and splayed open folders. God, if he saw this room he’d flip his shit.

"Stop it!" your five year old self screamed at your tormentor. Your first day of pre-school was not going well. Starting off your day by spilling your juice box all over your favorite shirt. The teacher, a messy haired woman named Ms. Hanji, then had to call your mother for a change of clothing, leaving you in the nurses office along with a little boy named Armin who was severely sick to his stomach. Unfortunately the chair that you had chosen to sit in was well in range of Armin,

The Deathlist (LevixReader) AU!
"What to do today. Oh what to do today." A young woman said as she walked down the streets of Washington D.C. She twirled the (color) hair that came loose from her black hat. Who was this woman? What was she up to?
Slowly she climbed the steps of the large building and looked up at the sign. THE SURVEY CORPS. Also known as the SC, this is where this woman was walking. She walked through the spinning doors and into the lobby filled with ladies in dresses and men in suits with pressed ties. Everyone watched the oddly strange woman in the top hat and black cloak go to the check in desk.
"Name please miss." The woman said behind a panel
